The theme of this article is Zimbabwe’s wildlife. Zimbabwe’s animals, mainly elephants, are dying off due to lack of water and food. Other animals are giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and leopards. Some of these animals are not only in need of water, but have a disease called blackleg. Blackleg is caused by unusually arid conditions and stress. Another theme could be Zimbabwe’s government and how they are not doing much to help this situation.
2nd Source Summary: <http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2007/08/070801-zimbabwe-animals.html> Since 2000, some 90% of Zimbabwe’s wildlife has been lost. A majority of these animals are not dying from starvation or thirst, but are being hunted.
